Instead it plans, sponsors, and decorates for the many wonderful dances at Drake. The Sock Hop, given by the hep sophomore class, started the year off with a bang, while on Halloween Drakites shimmied at the Witches Wiggle. Half a cent per pound was the admission price of the Letterman dance, Weigh-in-BIues. Mistletoe Magic, sponsor- ed by the Friendship Club, was a turn-about dance held in Decem- ber. The new year started off right with DANCEI , the I. R. C. Dance held at Marin Catholic. Rod Levin and his committee worked incessantly to make all Drake's wonderful dances successful. Money earned from selling Student Body Cards, magazine subscriptions and tickets and programs at home football and basketball games are the main sources of the schofol's income. Under the able guidance of the fall Student Body Treasurer, Sue Spalding, the treasury continued to grow. Give 'em the ax! A sinister thought isn't it? But thanks to the Interschool Relations Committee whose iob it is to promote better relations among Marin County high schools, this cry is heard only at games and athletic events. lnstituted about seven years ago by Tamalpais and San Rafael high schools, this c-ommittee sponsors a dance each semester. The fall semester dance was held at Marin Catholic in January. DANCE! was the theme, and everyone did iust that! FIRST ROW, left to right: Lualan O'Conner, Sue Spalding Gloria Westphal, Gail Foster.
