S T Lualan O'Connor Frances Hurlbut L nn Zumwalt Y Lynn Harriman Fall President Fall Vice-President Fall Secretary Fqll Treasurer Mr. Miles McColm Advisor School spirit was certainly present in the Class of '58, Under the leadership of Fall president, Lualan O'Connor and Spring president, Bob Walling, the freshmen at Drake did their best to do the most. They start- ed off with a bang by winning the P.T.A. membership drive and receiving the annual party given for the class recruiting the most members for that organization. One of the reasons for so much frosh spirit was the column the freshmen started which was FOR freshmen, ABOUT freshmen, and BY freshmen . Out of This World, which was one of the best dances of the year, was given for the members of the student body by the freshmen. The cle- corations were symbolic of outer space and were considered excellent by the upper classmen. Everyone agreed that Mr. Wigell's dance band was at its best. Included in the activities of the freshman class were the freshman dance classes given by the P.T.A. which were held on Saturday night, starting in January. The spirit of the freshmen made the year of 1955 the best for everyone.
