Ma San Rafael May At Tamalpars 16+ Under the guidance of Coach Bob Troppmann the Frosh Soph baseball team embarked on a twenty game schedule The freshmen on the team also had an additional ten games with neighboring schools The Pirate babes were exceptionally strong on the patching mound with sophomore letter winner Bruce Anderson heading the staff Filling out the mound crew were freshmen Bill Gallagher Bob Good Allen Moudy and Don Lazzarmr Holdovers from last year's team were Mike Belknap catcher Larry Dearmond first, Jim Draper, third Paul Pierce, short stop John Osborn and Carl Nelson, sec ond Roger Stevens and Ron Darrington in the outfield Other Sophomores that saw lot of action were Fred Baker, catcher, Al Riebling and Bull McKay, outfrelders. Freshmen making strong bids for positions were: first base, Dick De Bisschop Jerry Faulkner, and George Corson' second base Gary Schonwasser, Bill Emis' third base Al Wentner, Bill Pfeffer- short stop Dave Williams' catcher, Ed De Maestri- outfielders Sherman Hool, Milt Woods, and Joe Cox. The climax ofthe season was the Marin County Frosh-Soph League which included teams from San Rafael Marin Catholic and Tamalpais.
