Our 1981-82 Pepsters consist of three squads and 22 girls. The Var- sity Songleading Squad has seven members Tina Ramos is bead and Diana Pecaro is Co-Head. Tbe Var- sity Cbeer Squad bas ten members Evelyn Miranda is Head and Debbie Gonzales is Co-Head. Tbe J.V. Squad bas five members all of wbicb are fresbman Adriana Quintero is Head and Rita Ramos is Co-Head. Tbe Pepsters went to camp on Au- gust second. Camp consists of four days of bard work and tbree days of stiff competition. Many scbools at- t tend and it is a open competiton. Wbicb means tbat every school competes against each other instead of having divisions. Varsity Cbeer placed fourth out of about 25 schools. The Varsity Songleading squad placed fourth and the J.V. ' s placed third. Also both cheer squads received a special award for the Most Improved School at camp. It was a very successful summer. At tbe time of printing most of the competitons hadn ' t taken place but tbe squads had placed sixth out of eighteen on January 23, 1982. It was a Hibhard camp competition and it took place at Huntington Beach High School. Also not in their squad pictures are Connie Lang ,. Varsity Cheer and Barbara Amerio yarsity Song.
