ORACle CHERYL REINHARDT Editor-in-Chief Spurred on by cries of Hurry up, we have a deadline to meet!, the twenty-two members of the yearbook staff gallantly waded through the two hundred pages of copy, pictures, and headlines that compose this year ' s Oracle. It often seemed as if editor Cheryl Reinhardt was the only staff mem- ber who understood that unknown quantity grandly referred to as The Plan, but the others tried. The business staff tried handling staggering amounts of money; the copy staff tried to describe things that hadn ' t happened yet; the photographers tried to be everywhere at once; and the layout staff tried to outguess everybody else. Probably the most tried amid the frantic activity was Mr. Smith ' s patience. His often repeated phrase, I like your idea — do it over, was the embodiment of despair for 22 pairs of ears daily. In those last hectic days before the book went to press, however, even the most optimistic were amazed as the isolated components miraculously began to fall into place. Then, with solemn ceremony, the last stamp was slapped on the last envelope and the book was off to the printer. Our purpose as members of the Oracle staff has been to record as best we could this year of your high school life. As you review the year through these pages, we hope the memories you find are pleasant ones.
