BOB WILSON Outfield At the time the Oracle went to press, Coach Joe Wolfe ' s Varsity Baseball team, with a 5-win, 1-loss league record, had set its sights on the champion- ship of the Suburban League. The club, composed of several returning lettermen and experienced J.V. ball players, had shown signs of brilliant play and a lot of hustle in their pre-season battles. Veteran catcher, Tim Young, was leading the hitting with a consistent .365 batting average. Senior shortstop-third baseman, Reg Dobbs, was keeping a .333 average through 10 games, while Jim Cox, Gary Skinner, and Dan Heath were handling the pitching. As for the rest of the season, we hope to con- tinue the quality of our first round of play and finish as Suburban League leaders, stated Coach Wolfe. J riM YOUNG Catcher 171
