.7Al 0lftgA ik? M0106 Senior program day found the seniors looking back over the last half century. Scenes depicting various inventions, hard times, and entertainment were the highlights of the hour. The years were taken as decades with several key scenes for every ten years. Beauty queens made fashions very evident through the years with a Miss America for each decade revealing quite a contrast in styles. The first airplane, made by the Wright brothers, was flown in l9Ol by several daring senior boys, who also made parachuting popular. An entire family took a short trip across the stage in the first automobile to the tune of ln My Merry Oldsmobile. Bob Spindler, as narrator, gave the play by play descrip- tion ofa lively boxing match from the ringside. No black eyes, by the way. Reviewing entertainment features over the years, square dancing, the Charleston, and Al .lolson were found to be pop- ular. Remembering that times were not the best in the l93O's, a portrayal of the depression days was very dramatic, Since music has always played a very important part in our lives, several timely selections were played throughout the program with the entire senior class singing a popular song of the day, Goodnight, lrene at the end of the hour, Top to bottom: Ray Thomas as Al Jolson puts all he has into Mommy. Beauty queens, Jane Boyd and Natha Planck, display their charm backstage. A very distinguished lady is Ann Kokier in the flapper days. Lyle Mclrvin referees while DeLyle Bancroft and John Hard- en fight it out in a lively boxing match. . il. Q. A
