On Monday January 23 thnrteen Junuors spent the day at the courthouse to study the mechanism of our county govern ment Sndney Hugh Jumors and those from other towns were glven a dlnner at noon In the clty auditorium basement by the Amerncan Leglon Auxllsary Another event of the year was the soc hop whsch was pre sented In February and was enjoyed by all Treating the sensors to the annual banquet lunuors worked many weeks in preparatuon for this gala affair JUNIOR RECORD The class of Sl started off on the rlght foot by electing Bull Burr as governor Other offucnals chosen to lead thenr class were Lueutenant Governor Carol Ladune Secretory of State Jane theur ideas were the Junior State Leglslature and their four members working as National Representatives Overseelng these ,lunuors In all they do are thexr sponsors Elizabeth Wright Mary Stowe Vnrgul Wunn and Ray Maley Also worknng for the better ment of thelr class and school are the two Junuors In the Pres: dent s cabunet Joan Connell Secretary of lntenor and Rrchard Schaffert Secretary of Agnculture Junuors started maknng money to finance the Junuor Sen nor Banquet by selecting committees to care for the coke ma chlne Also un theur money making scheme was the sellung at all home games The mom event of the year was thevr play On The Beam directed by Mr Dean Coon with the help of the Junlor sponsors The cast was headed by Bull Burr and Shnrley Buehrer as Mr and Mrs Gllman The play at both the matinee and night perform ance proved to all fn attendance that the Junlors are really on the beam On December 22 a Chrnstmas program was gzven to the enture school by the Junuors It was taken from the poem The Nlght Before Christmas and was acted out nn pantomime Vlrgsl Wlnn served as reader and Dwlght Armstrong portrayed 0 jolly Santa Claus -3 T .
