Future Farmers of America This is a National Organization of boys studying Vocational Agriculture. The Sidney chapter of F. F. A. has the following as its aims and purposes: 1. To develop competent, aggressive, rur- al, and agricultural leadership. To create and nurture a love of country life. 3. To strengthen the confidence of farm boys and young men in themselves and their work. 4. To develop character, train for useful citizenship, and foster patriotism. 5. To participate in cooperative effort. 6. To encourage and practice thrift. 7. To encourage improvement in scholar- ship. The club is active in scrap drives, bond sales, and food production to aid the war ef- fort. During the year a large amount of farm equipment is built and repaired for the farms of Cheyenne County by the members. Prob- ably the outstanding activity of the club for the year was the enrollment of O. S. Y. A. fOut of School Youth and Adulty night classes. This has been an annual activity of the F. F. A. since Pearl Harbor and hundreds of Cheyenne County adults have taken advan- tage of the courses in motor mechanics, elec- tricity, machinery repair, and food produc- ion.
