Grapefr-uHs to Viet Nam Investigated Headed by Thomas Payne, the His- tory Department guides the student body to a better understanding of the world today. This understanding Is achieved through regular daily work, supplemented by special speakers for classes and auditorium presentations. Performing its part for the school, the department helps the Exercise in Knowledge team prepare for its matches and sponsors the Lilly Endowment Scholarship Program. Seeking methods to improve its cur- riculum, the History department re- vised present courses to incorporate up-to-date materials and techniques including transforming grapefruits into globes, rewriting the Constitution, visiting the Harrison home, and tak- ing polls on topics from Viet Nam to elections.
