Offering five possible years of training, the department has stimulated many students with its complete coverage of the complexities of algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus. Interest in mathematics is voiced outside the classroom in three active organizations. Freshmen are invited to join Hi-Pi Club, from which they may progress to Math Club, and if their average and interest is high enough, Mu Alpha Theta, national math honorary.
