Juniors Contribute Socially With Prom, Vaudeville The selection of class officers and prom queen candidates never fails to thrill one class in the school-the Junior class. This year, the class when it organized selected Jerry Udell to be its first head. He, as did the other officers, Won the position following primary final elections. This was the first year that such a process was used for a junior class. Through the year he led the class in its activities while working with Don R. Knight, financial ad- viser, and Mrs. Virginia Graham, class sponsor. Together with the other class officers they planned the two big projects-Vaucleville and the Junior Prom which was held May 3 at the Indiana Roof ballroom. All of the class members take active roles in the life of the school. They are elected to key positions as they start on the movement to make their class remembered as a definite part of the Shortridge tradition. This year's show followed the 35-year tra- dition of 21ssembling,' more th21n 500 students for the five-act variety show. For the first time since the shows origin, Mrs, Nell Merrick Thomas, who retired l21st year, was not at the helm.
