Sophomores Find Time Recitations in language classes are milestones in the lives of all sophomores whether the class is Caesar. for Fun, Plus Studies Between enjoying the fact that they no longer are the newest and greenest class in school and longing for the time when they will be upperclass- men, the sophomores both study and play with 21 vim. The vocational theme which is a part of sopho- more English makes them think of their future, and the vocational conference held in the spring gives them a chance to hear speakers from two of their possible fields. The Kuder Preference Test, too, is a means of aiding them. Although the sophomore year sometimes is con- sidered the one of least activity during the four in school, it is the time when most students drop their freshman habits and prepare for the respon- sibilities of their junior and senior years when they become school leaders. Junior Class Sponsors-Don R. Knight and Mrs. Virginia Graham. we lie g6ozluQfe glaakkbu . . . Juniors Contribute Socially With Prom, Vaudeville The selection of class officers and prom queen candidates never fails to thrill one class in the school-the Junior class. This year, the class when it organized selected Jerry Udell to be its first head. He, as did the other officers, Won the position following primary final elections. This was the first year that such a process was used for a junior class. Through the year he led the class in its activities while working with Don R. Knight, financial ad- viser, and Mrs. Virginia Graham, class sponsor. Together with the other class officers they planned the two big projects-Vaucleville and the Junior Prom which was held May 3 at the Indiana Roof ballroom. All of the class members take active roles in the life of the school. They are elected to key positions as they start on the movement to make their class remembered as a definite part of the Shortridge tradition.
