ood, Dress, Pastimes took their turns. Of course. this was an addition to the slumber parties, picnics, and gabfests which continued to be around and are now traditions. In clothes, the Ivy style was most prominent. Crew-necked sweaters, button-down collars, and back-buckles appeared on both boys and girls, but other styles took their pace, too, as car coats of every color, length, and style made their initial appearance with the high school set. All of these fads made this year a special one in forming the Shortridge tradition. Pieea pie became an increasingly popular fad this year for date-time or just fun-time. Jim Masson and Abby Ervin find the Italian treat so good, but, oh, so messy, too. Bowling can be fun, even in the most amateur way. when the girls get together to practice. Sherry Fobes. Tops was the pizza pie. Whether there were girls. boys, or girls and boys, whenever there were Shortridgers there always seemed to be pizza, too. In activities, the teenage popularity of bowling increased.
