Daigf Echo Going Five separate staffs are required to keep the paper going, This year Betty Long, Nancy Moss- ler, Mildred Webb, Nancy Crawford, and Sara Mitten edited the Monday through Friday edi- tions under the sponsorship of Miss Jeannette Grubb and Mrs. Doris Elkins. News and features were the keynotes as Echo reporters interviewed Gloria Swanson, Trygve Lie, Claude Rains, Bill Shirley, and many other interesting people, Sports, columns, and ads written by SHS'ers rounded out the daily edition, Publishing' the Christmas Echo was an enjoy- able job for Betty Long and Sara Mitten who were assisted by the Fiction club members and Echo stails. No newspaper could long endure without its business staff and this year Margaret Sauerteig, business manager. was assisted by Susie Emrick, Connie Rust, Julie Snyder. and Sharon Cross. The Echo pictures SHS in sports, studies, and good times: it is u reflection of the Blue and White and the true spirit of Shortridge. I lKlIP.XY S'I'.XI I1' Ilwxx I. Ilwuzilwl Il.nI1'l'.
