2,387 Students Were mfollecl in 237 Courses Lab makes reading fun. Triy class gefs an eyeful. From cave-man to United Nations is included in the history department. They don't limit teaching to Shortridge. though: history classes from SHS may be seen all over the city learning their lesson first-hand. Physical science courses here are among the best, too. This might be because of the quality and quantity of equipment, which is surpassed by few high schools in the country. Natural science courses also are offered, and field trips supplement these courses. Everything from bugs, beetles, and Howers to crystals form- ing in evil smelling acids are carried around, but it adds variety to the monotony of school books, especially if something spills or escapes in a doomed locker! Mmmmm. oh, why did I have to have an Eng- lish class right across the hall from a home ee lab? is a familiar cry. Yummy aromas and smart dresses are the products of home cc stu- dents, who have a lot ol fun learning to be good homemakers. We at Shortridge may be justly proud ol' the high scholastic reputation which we have all over the nation. Those with a good record and diplo- ma from Shortridge High School can be assured Problems student points out homeland. 23
