As I look back on my flrst days at Cleveland Hospltal one of my funnlest experlences concerned one of my classmates, QSAIVI LYNCH2 It seemed that Sam had developed a very mechanlcal mlnd and had lnvented a glant Robot While he was demonstratlng hrs glant Robot ln Cleveland somethlng seemed to have gone Wrong R1ght 1n the mlddle of the demonstratlon the Robot plcked Sam up and set hlm on the Termlnal Tower After a physlcal checkup we found that Sam wasn t hurt Just sufferlng a llttle from shock The next day as I walked through the hall wlth another nurse she was telllng me about a glrl that had been admltted the precedlng nlght It seems she had to be treated for shock and was to b released today In the afternoon I declded to go 1nto her room and cheer her up As you mlght have guessed lt was another one of my classmate CPHYLLIS WALLACEJ Phyllls told me she had marrled James Faulkner and they llved 1n an apartment In town Her husband worked mghts and she was scared to stay ny her self One mght as she was lymg 1n the bed she thought she heard a no1se rn the closet She got up half asleep, walked to the closet door and opened lt She had forgotten about hanglng a palr of long whlte underwear ln the closet As she opened the door the underwear was all that she saw dangllng ln the black space She was so scared that she jumped r1ght out the wlndow She wasn't cut badly but was just sufferlng from shock Early one mornmg as I was walklng down the hall I was asked to take a vase of flowers whlch had been wlred from PBITlS Island South Carollna lnto a pat1ent's room As I drd so I heard a famlllar vorce greet me Why who else would be gettlng flowers from Parrls Island South Carollna but MARY CATHERINE DAUPJ 'P I learned that Mary Catherlne had become a secretary for a large f1rm and whlle s1tt1ng at her desk one day she saw a mouse run across the room She was so frlghtened that she trled to cl1mb the f1l1ng cablnet and turned lt over on her There were no broken bones though Just a few brulses Durlng my lunch hour one day I was to report to the X ray room Upon my arrrval there I learned that lt was another one of my classmates QMIRIAM STEELE? M1r1am had got a pos1t1on where she demonstrated how unhandy the old hand crank wash wrlngers were compared wlth the new atomlc modern ones of today She had accldentally cranked her flngers up ln the wrlnger The X rays showed no broken bones so M1r1am was re leased As I was about to go off duty one evenmg I thought I would take a last round before golng AS I walked down the hall I heard a welrd rnoanlng The room was dark so I walked 1n and turned a hght on over the bed and there lay CNOREEN HALLJ, Nloreen told me she was attendlng a rodeo and whwlo perched on a hlgh ra1l1ng above a wlld horse some funny cowboy pushed her In on the horse's back All she remembers 1S the gate flymg open Of course she wasn t hurt serlously Just a few brulses here and there I 0 , . v I n 5 1 1 u I . , . .
