Our Book of Memories Dear D1ary As we remlnlsce over our four years of hlgh school we can v1v1dly remember many of our past experlences How can we forget our 1n1t1at1onl We have to admlt that we were scared but we sur v1ved rt How exclted we were when three of our glrls were elected to lead cheers at the bas ketball games' Ianet Kay and Phaenon d1d a good Job of lt too Carole Ann Black was chosen to be our freshman homecomlng attendant We ended our freshman year by p1cn1ck1ng at Mohlcan State Park wlth our class ad vlser Mr Klnsel We weren't too actlve durmg our sophomore year, Dlary I suppose that we were re cuperatlng from our freshman year and gettrng set to tackle our Junlor year Janet Kay and Phaenon were re elected as cheerleaders 1n the fall E1a1ne Ballltch was elected as our sophomore attendant Mr Daup was our class advtser Ourjunlor year under the guldance of Mr Plttenger proved to be very successful Dlary In November we recelved our class r1ngs and we presented our class play A Feudrn Over Yonder under the gutdance of Mr Mock The high school student body elected Elaine Ballltch as the 1956 homecomlng queen and the junior class elected Kay Elllott to be her attendant Ianet Banks was chosen as our F F A queen State The h1ghl1ght of our Juruor year was the IUHIOI Semor Prom Our theme was Moonllght and Roses' Getting ready for the prom was hard work but we enjoyed every mlnute of After eleven long years we have finally made 1tl Our studylng seems to have pard off We are under the supervlslon of Mrs Huston ur class sold over Sl OOO worth of magazlnes The magazmes and annual ads helped flnance our annual Janet Baker received a beautlful watch and Mary Catherlne Daup a camera ur class play was glven late ln the sprlng are proud of Grace Ann Wolfersberger one of our classmates, who placed th1rd 1n the state finals of the Prmce of Peace Contest How well we recall New York Central s fastest train stopping on the Maln Street of Shlloh at 4 30 A M so we could all go to Columbus to see her After spendmg the remalnder of the day sight seelng and shopprng we returned to Shlloh that n1ght We elected Dolores M1tche1l as the senlor class attendant Larry Barnd has been an outstanding basketball player for hrs three years 1n hlgh school We are looking forward to our commencement wh1ch wlll be May 22 As we look back Dlary, we realize how qulckly our high school days have come to an end We have shared many wonderful experrences together as a class Now each of us w1ll be VVI'ltlI'1Q his own personal dlary after graduating from high school We hope that each one of our diarles will contam many pleasant memones too Remlnlscently yours Mary Catherme Daup G Elalne Ballitch Kay Elliott attended Girls' State, and Larry Barnd and Iennings Francis attended Boys' it.
