to look forward to the fourth and fmal m1ss1on when we would return as Sen1ors We took leave for three months and agam we declded when we would return and everyone agreed to be here When we came back on September 6 1950 we sadly noted we were mxssmg one Betty Jean Stewart left to be marrxed In her place we gamed Barbara Eaves The crew was chosen as Mary Lou Russell Pllot Marshall Clabaugh Co p1lot Carol Sue W1tch1e Radloman Don Guthrme Gunner r Pxttenger was chosen as our nav1gator The passengers were Chuck Wolfersberger Lorene Clagg Lee Sparks Jun Huston Betty Kaylor Barbara Eaves Dean Seaman Ehzabeth K1lgore Jean Moser Lo1s England At Thanksglvmg tlme Ehzabeth K1lgore left to be marr1ed and at Chrxstmas t1me w lost Barbara Eaves who moved to Massmlon to f1l'11Sh On December 6 we presented our Senxor Class Play Go West Young Man We are lookmg forward to the Banquet, Baccalaureate Commencement and the Sen1or Class Trlp The t1me 15 growmg short when we w1ll all be faced wmth gomg the d1fferent roads of l1fe and when that t1me comes we are all gomg to make the best of what we have learned here at Sh.1loh I-hgh School U7?ff j ff! -af I 19 ' I . . -- , . . . Mrs West was our new nav1gator unt1l the mxddle of the year when she ave u her post to Mrs Shuck The passengers aboard were Bob Thomas Arlyce Wh1tcomb Dean Seaman Mary Lou Russell J1m Huston Carol Sue W1tch1e Betty Kaylor Ogelean Lykms Betty Stewart Donna Seaton Ju stme Staton In October the class was saddened by the death of Paul Baker our fellow class mate In November we put on a Sadxe Hawkms Day assembly program and later we had a Chapel Program Through the year several partxes were held Besxdes Paul we lost Donna Seaton and Maxme Cole durlng th1s m1ss1on Durmg e leave we lost Don Guthr1e Peggy and Betty Mock Lo1s England came back from Johnsvxlle 1n the fall and Marshall Clabaugh from Plymouth rn the spr1ng to Jom our class Don Guthne came home from Flor1da By May most of us we re v1ct1ms of battle fat1gue and a leave would have been well earned so we left vowmg to return as the Jolly Junxors of 1949 Agam the plane was repaxred and another mlssxon was on the docket th1s t1me through the Junzor year Mr P1ttenger was lookxng over the charts when we arr1ved at school and when we got he re we declded the crew would be Loxs England Pxlot Carol Wrtchle Co p1lot Jean Moser Radloman Chuck Wolfersberger Gunner The rest of the passengers were Lee Sparks Betty Stewart Don Guthrie Ehzabeth Kmlgore Mary Lou Russell Dean Seaman Arlyce Whxtcomb Bob Thomas Betty Kaylor Marshall Clabaugh Jxrn Huston Durlng this mlssxon we gamed Lorene Clagg and durmg the leave we lost Ogelean Lykms and Justme Staton Th1s mxssmon was one of the most enjoyable as we had several thmgs to do On the lst of April we had our .Tumor Class Play The Ghost House , and later on m May we had the annual Junxor and Semor Banquet for e Semors We gave one of the hvelzest banquets that has ever been put on here e used an old fashxoned garden theme Then the year was over and everyone started 18 . . . . g P th ' , . . . . . , .. ,, . . . th . . . . .
