CLASS PR OPHELC Y As I was golng through Sh11oh I declded to drop off the rods of my cattle car and try to fmd some of my old classmates I was walkmg up the street and saw a blllldlng wlth a sxgn that sald Ye Old Towne Grrlle The proprxetors were lack Wheatcraft and Tom Hawthorne but rt seemed that Tom was a smlent partner as lanlce Clark hxs wxfe thought xt was better that he was As I was eat1ng my dmner I pxcked up the Shxloh Gazette and what d1d I see but an advertlsement of Hamman s Ho1ste1n cattle farm It seems Donna Hamman the former Donna Irelan and Art have qu1te a herd of ch11dren started On the back page of the paper I found Dlck Rader as the Proprmetor Dxstnbutor E.d1tor etc After readlng th1s I was really surprxsed and decxded I had better Journey on Then down the street I saw a new bulldmg wxth a sxgn that read joe s Palace Theater It was the opening nlght of a home talent play joe Irelan was the proprxetor andl was surprised to see that two of hls most promlnent stars were Ruth Wolford and Sarah McKee I went Into the Farm Store and I was talklng to some younger boys and they told me what a fme Prlnclpal Kenneth Humbert was at Shxloh school and also told me that Lucllle Pennell was a very fme Englxsh teacher I came out of the store and contlnued up the street I happened to run lnto Mary Muller and she told me she was a conflrmed man hater and that she was hung 1n a shack at Planktown tak1ng 1n waslungs for a hvmg I heard a clatter and a bang and there was Frances R1dd1ck drxvlng an old farm truck I was told she has become a farmer s wlfe She drove her truck mto Smrtty s Garage and Motorcycle Sales whlch was owned by Forrest Smlth I consmdered myself fortunate ln seemg all my old classmates so I took to the rods of my cattle car and journeyed on to my next destlnatxon afreafftf Z1 1 . . . - nu - 11 u m.-1.-m.....' 1 1 0 y . . l m....m..... mi . -li,---1 1 1 1 v 1 . . . .
