MA THEM A TICS The modern mathematics program in the seventh and eighth grades provides a cur- riculum for the students that enables them to gain an insight necessary to achieve success in mathematical understanding. In the ninth grade the students may choose between a course in algebra or a course in general mathematics. Both courses are so designed to give students an adequate knowledge of higher mathematics.
