Q 7 fljvyixw' L42 Xml! Freshmen Cheerleaders Try Hard , The Freshmen Cheerleaders were selected on October 18, 1977, after two weeks of practice . The girls fright, First Row: Ambra Barker. Row 2: Shari Caruthers, Cindy Hughes, Donna Belch- er. Row 3: jill Griiithj, raised the money to buy new uniforms for the basketball season. They T were selected late and were only able to cheer for two' football games . The girls worked hard and performed well throughout the year. . There was no captain of the squad, as each girl took her turn in leading the cheers for each game . This shared the responsibility among the entire squad . The girls won first place in the ac- I tivity division of the Big Show. 3 l . r lah.
