uWi1l Paw Find A Groom? Will Paw ever find a groom for Ceelie? This was the question that ran through the audience while the junior class presented the three act, play I-lillbilly Weddin . This was a comedy about Hillbillies who were lazy, poor, and dirty. The dirtiest thing in the household was a gal named Ceelie, part played by Janie Vickers. Cee- lie NEVER took a bath and here it is time for he to get married off, according to Paw, Keith Phipps, and Maw Belsniclcle, Sharon Jacobs. Below, Maw sends Paw out lookin' for a good husband for Ceelie. Right, Paw along with some cousins attempts to have a shot gun wedding between Ceelie and Ronald Maxwell, a young city doctor. fTop, Opposite pagej At the beginning of the ceremony, Ceelie stands alone with the Reverend, Randy Saunders. But only until it is interrupted by Obby Upschlager, a young guy from accross the hill, part play- ed by Dennis McCormick, inally tells Ceelie how much he really cares for her. He admitted that the reason he had never told her before was that he was so afraid of her pets . . . rattlesnakes! ,.1 Ti i 'VE xx ' ' m - v X ff gi: za , A-,ix '1 I I I :-' l xXXg rr VL ' lxxxi Qs ,X X 17- s .
