Appalachian Culture Classes Explore Backwards In Time Mrs. Arvon's Appalachian Culture classes went exploring through the Science and Cultural Center in Charleston on November 28, 1977. They left at 9:30 a.m. and arrived back at school around 1:40 p.m. Lee Barker, Mark Allen, Tim Barker and Tina Blanton, Qrightj ex- amine an old cannon of the CivilWar. They also saw many old antiques and relics, fbelowj. Some students fbelow rightj relaxed for a few minutes in the lobby, While others went to the nec- essary rooms. Do A Good Deed Susan Burnette was one of many who did a good deed for the day on April S, 1978, by donating a pint of blood to the Charleston vw i Area Red Cross. After she had been asked to answer a few questions concerning her personal medical history she began the procedures. fRightj Susan got her ear pricked to determine the type of blood she had. Next fbelowj the Emergency Medical Technician took her pulse and temperature . Then she was ready to give blood fbottomj.
