li.. 2 ACT II- ACT III-- ACT IV-- l27 Graduates -SOPI IOMORE YEAR During the Sophomore year, the combined groups at Sherman, elected as officers George White, Patricia Robinson, and Janice Kirk. Candidates for Miss Sherman and Mr, Sherman were Sue Kinder and Joe Tagliente. The Class with 152 members offered its share of leadership. Karen Morris was given the honor of being selected as Head Majorette, Karen was also the choice for Miss Tide, while Sue Kinder was elected as candidate for Miss llomecorningf' JUNIOR YEAR George White was again chosen as Class President. Other officers were Patricia Robinson and Janice Kirk. Miss Sherman and Mr. Sherman candidates to represent the class were Jo Ann Brown and Leslie Cameron. To the delight of every Junior, the two candidates were selected to reign for the year. Charlotte McCormick was chosen as Miss Walhondianu while the other candidate was Diane Tamplin. Judie Milteal was chosen Miss Homecoming. Delegates to Know Your State Government Day were George White and Judith Mikeal. The Class Play, Two Dates for Tonight, was directed by Mrs. M. Wayne. ll9 members were enrolled in the class and Mr. Averley Brown was Principal of the School for the year. SENIOR YEAR The great arrived--we were the Senior Class. Mr. Brown began his second year as Principal. .Xt the first assembly, the school applauded as the class entered the auditorium. Class Sponsors were Mr. Bowne, Mrs. iledrick, Mr. Bruce Cantley, Mr. Ralph ilottle, Mr. ilarrison. and Mr. McClung. During the fall the water came. Electric coolers were installed by the Boosters Club and the long awaited filter system was completed. Alice Walker represented the Class for Miss llomecomLng and long will she remember how it rained during the performance. Delores Perdue was senior representative as Miss Tide. Patricia Radcliffe, Karen Morris. and George White were delegates to the State Student Council Convention at Jackson's Mill. Class officers were George White, Dallas llenderson, Lytis Davis, and Carolyn Anderson. Candidates for Miss Walhondian were Linda Barker and Sue Kinder. The Class Play, Headed for Eden was directed by Mr. Ralph liottle. As the curtain draws together to close our drama, members of the class turn many directions searching for their next step in life. 71
