Art offers variety of creative experience Stained glass, water colors, ink and pencil, and pastel colors are all a part of art. Sherman High offers Art I-IV. Art I and ll work on things such as texture rubbings, assembling designs, ink drawings, and drawing portraits. Art is a very creative subject, commented Melissa Griffin, sophomore. Art lll and IV students are required to pay for their own supplies and are able to sell some of their art work. Some people think that Art is a blow-off class, but it really isn't, stated Deanna Denison, junior. Hall exhibits displaying various types of art were held in November and May. During the year Art students designed programs and posters and gave Billy Bob Bearcat a fresh coat of paint. lt was the aim of the Art department to give students a variety of experiences in artist expres- sions and to encourage better workmanship in the finished product, stated Mrs. Nell Hannah, instructor. . .. ,wr- ' I 'ik' I f K . kv, 5 t tif M .. j f 5' 'i::- l S 4 . ll 16 ArtfAcademics My is ' .- , 'i - f 5 .- fsslts'f Q 4 1.
