Honorees owe their status to many Which is more influential on a person's develop- ment, his heredity or his environment? This has been argued long and hard, and not a great deal of solu- tion has come about. Whatever the real answer, though one thing is sure. A person does not develop on his own. There have been people and events in everyone's life that shaped his destiny. This is no less true with the persons who have received honors at SHS. Along the way, there have been parents, teachers, friends, and relatives who have together formed in each of them a will to win, a desire for perfection, and a dissatisfaction with anything sub- standard.
