The Girls' Swimming Team had a good year. They set nine new school records: seven of them were individual and two were team records. The first team record was in the 200 Medley relay with a time of 2:2 5:4 4 set by Lois Kennedy, Rhonda Grain, Laura Solano, and Kelly Hottman. The second team record set was the 400 free style relay, time of 4:4 8:50, set by Kelly Hottman, Susan McKinley, Rhonda Grein, and Laura Solano. Laura Solano was the captain of the l 980-8 1 girls' swim team. She set three school records, in the 200 medley relay, and in the 400 free-style relay. Susan McKinley set three school records, in the 400 free-style relay, and the 200-yd. IM, time of 3:0 1:34, also 100-yd. fly, time of l:25:47. Kelly Hottman set four school records in the 200 med relay, the 400 free-style relay, 50-yd. free, time 2 9:9 4, and the 500-yd. free-style, time of 'I:l8:24. Lois Kennedy set two school records, in the 200 med relay, also in the 100-yd. back- stroke, time of 1:2 2:0 1. Rhonda Grein set two school records, in the 2 0 0 med relay and in the 400 free-style relay. Sheridan placed fifth in an Invitational Meet at Summit, against 10 other schools.
