Q Q3 ,gg MM -W fm 'Ji , The Sheridan boys' swim team started out well in 1981. With only 8 on the squad, Ram swimmers faced Windsor in the first meet of the season. Although they lost 104-58 to Windsor's larger team, SHS took four first places, six seconds, and two thirds. They came up against Platte Canyon and met Windsor again, but the squad was depleted and had to cancel several meets. New coach, Rick Finelli, is not discouraged. To Victory In Basketball Q Q Top row Coach Sacco Linda Huck Renee Torrez Lori Konrad Stephanie Allen Bottom row Lori Graves Diana Nickerson Lisa Hoyer Kelly Hottman The Rams varsity girls basketball team was the strongest this year due to a returning crop of experienced veteran ball players. Six of the twelve varsity players earned letters last season, and Head Coach Sacco and Asst. Coach Loveto expect to have a winning record Seniors Cyndi Kyle, Michelle Metzer, and Barbara Gleason were part of the starting line up, with help from outstanding juniors like Donna Langlett, Tina Romero, Chamiene Romero, and Denise Moser, - soph. Julie Langlett earned another varsity letter and continued to help out in the rebounding department. Due to the increasing empha- sis on women's athletic programs at the college level, some Sheridan graduates have excellent opportunities to play basketball after leaving high school. J..
