Mr. Carre hands Mr. Stanfield a plaque for all his years of serving on the school board. Mr. and Mrs. Davey greet Mr. and Mrs. Stanfield at the reception. After twenty-one years of service to Sheridan schools, John Stanfield retired from the school board in the spring of 1977. On June 1, the school district gave a reception for Mr. Stanfield at the high school. The Sheridan Educators Association presented him with a plaque in honor of his dedicated service. Mr. Stan- field is still active in the community and still a friend of Sheridan's schools. 117
