BAND Corinth High School Band CORINTH. MISSISSIPPI Paul Page, Organized September, 1937. The enrollment at this time was twenty. First concert given in the spring of 1938; colorful addition to the football games of the ’38 season. Joint concerts were given with the hands of several of the neighboring towns. State band contest, 1939—In sight-reading, in marching, and in concert, the band rated good. The number of students taking band has increased to 110, although only sixty of these are members of the Senior Hand. The instrumentation of the band has recently been increased and greatly improved. Director The plans for this year include a radio broadcast, concerts with other bands, participation in the Cotton Carnival parade at Memphis, Tennessee, and entrance in the State Hand Contest at Jackson, Mississippi. We know that the Corinth High School Hand, under the capable baton of Director Page, is well on its way to being one of the finest in the state, and we hope one of the best in the nation.
