Kfazizi y While mixing our brews in our test tubes and flasks, we peered into the fumes and were able to distinguish some forms. The images not being quite clear, we proceeded to add another concoction to our bubbling brew. Instantly, there was a flash of eerie iridescent light. With singed eye lashes, we peered into the light, and could see our visions. A red-headed boy comes into view, our own Don Bassler iust racking up another point for the All-Star Basketball team of the country. And if you're wondering who's announcing the game, it,'s 'Whitey' Tourtellot, of course! But who's the other fellow sitting there complacently watching the game? Why, Aiax, You Iook like you will live to be a hundred, after all. But wait! The light is growing clim . Suddenly, a red beam of light appears. Ah, another vision is appearing. As the vision becomes clear, we see our hopeful teachers who are Barbara Mullins and Betty DeVoe. But we see they've raised their own. . Speaking of marriage, we see Janet and Chet with all the little Bartletts. Art De- Voe's telephone bill isn't so exorbitant since he married Betty. As another form comes into view, we see Hans Schimdt's cousin, Winand von Petersdorff-Campden, wrestling at Madison Round Garden, while his wife, Joyce Tuck, cheers him on. We see the program also a tag team consisting of our strong men Ma rv i n Werner and Donald Fortin. What's this! Shirlee Schoof's ambition to become a woman came true, woman wrestler, that is . 1 As the light grows dim and the visions fade making a yellow beam, we see Ed Tinney, our bachelor, is surrounded by girls. You see, I Qi he has made out well as a nuclear physicist and has hired oodles ' of secretaries among whom are Mary Mango, Lucille Loubier, and Lucy Lasher. Art'Hayner went fox-hunting last fortnight. Eleanor Furlow has mistaken him for a fox. I see he's still up I g to his old tricks . Instead of one nurse, he has four. They're Marge Simmons, Maribeth Kenney, Janis Davenport and Virginia Turner . Tom Nelson, Lloyd Harris and Don Brown have com- ff I bined their ambitions. Tom is making the machinery 50 rf J for Lloyd to raise prize winning grass so Don can N' be best dressed in Hawaii. Charlotte Sumner is their private secretary. Betty Meader is their X- -' Trans-Pacific secretary. Dick Lee has his convertible and is driving B Marge Jewett back and -forth to Cornell f during the summer where she is further- urr ing her knowledge of metaphysics . i' I June' Breski has finally made up her V mind about her career. She's a . bookkeeper for one of X rp 'X the local lads. 1' Y' I Our 'brew has evap- ' orated, and we are ZX- 1 weary but our work is ' done. We couldn'tfind quite the right sub- ? stances to make our visions clear, but we hope that what we saw a nd prophesied wi I I come to pass. . Xfybi
