We leave Irene S.gReed High to begin a new life, but before we go, we leave a memorandum on this, our page . . In our Sophomore year we were as enthsusiastic as any Sopho- more class . . . Led by Phil Palmer and Nedra Oppelt we came through with colors flying . . . To end a great year we held, in the Garden of the Moon, our Tolo which was a huge success . . . As Juniors. we elected Curt Boone and Frank Berets to lead us through the year . . . For our class colors we chose wine and white . . . The weeks rolled by and to top the year we gave the greatest Prom ever given- The Starlit Prom . . . Our Senior year rolled around before we knew it and here we were with one year to go . . . Wz'th Penny Read and Ralph Le Drew, our leaders, and so many things to do we had to hustle . . . The best years of our life were ending as we said goodbye to high school . . . Senior Sneak. Class Dances, and then, Grad- uation . . . The Class of 41 leaves behind a history that will stand out in the mind of every classman . . . never to be for- gotten in years to come . . . Reed High School as a rather fruitless year as far as football is concerned. Last year's graduation took quite a few members of the l-lighclimbers squad. The boys worked hard this year but couldn't quite make up the loss. The season ended with wins, losses and ties. ' We were privileged with an invitation to play in the first annual Jam- boree which also was attended by Elma, Montesano, Raymond, Aberdeen, and Hoquiam. Next year the squad loses many outstanding players as: Bill Batstone. Ralph LeDrew, Roy Anderson. Walt Eddy, Floyd Fuller, Lynn Crossman, Jack Smith, Frank Berets, Weldon Calloway, and Jim Maloney-all Senior letter- men.
