eas1er way to make a l1v1ng He was r1ght Bob the Bluffer IS start1ng h1S own pol1t1cal party It 1S called the Only Way Party I th1nk that lt would be very 1nterest1ng to know how many of you agree w1th h1s ldeaS and Wlll support h1s party I suppose that we can all be pretty sure that Penny w1ll strongly oppose h1m and h1s party Th1s 1S unoff1c1al but Bob thought that he w1ll probably be the party s cand1date for Pres1dent 1n the next electlon Sh1rley Kelth turned out to be one of the braver members of our class Sh1rley could not be on the program for a very good reason She 1S a m1ss1onary and r1ght now she 1S 1n one of the more pr1m1t1ve areas of Afr1ca I understand that Sh1rley IS Just marvelous when lt comes to teachmg the Mau Mau s I th1nk that lt would be 1nterest1ng to hear about some of her exper1ences I hope that maybe someday we ll get a chance don t you? I suppose that all of you remember that Jerry Davenport was 1nterested 1n cars and mechan1cal th1ngs Jerry has had a hard struggle to get to the top Wh1le he was go1ng to trade school he could not afford many of the luxur1es of l1fe to wh1ch most of us are accustomed One of the ma1n th1ngs wasacar So he declded to take one of the old cars that he had and us1ng parts from other cars that had been Junked bu1ld a car HIS car gamed a lot of popular1ty around the school and soon other guys were ask1ng h1m to help them bu1ld one l1ke It Now on college campuses all over the U S we see these Jerryrnob1les On the Slde mostly for a past1me Jerry sells D1ck Tracy com1c books Jun R1ley has always had a nose for cr1me Oh I don t mean that .hm 1S a cr1m1nal not by any means I know that probably most of you have read about h1m 1n the papers He has solved some of the deepest and hardest cr1mes of all t1mes However J1m IS Stlll not too busy to devote some of h1s t1me to h1S classmates He traced down many of your addresses and got 1n touch Wlth you Therefore J1m was part1ally respons1ble for the success of the pro gram that was devoted to our class I was surpr1sed to know that h1s full t1me Job IS not that of a detect1ve J1m 1S really an Engl1sh teacher He 1S very devoted to th1s work and w1ll not sl1ght It for anyth1ng So far I have told you about only one person 1n our class who 1S IH show bus1ness I am certa1n that we do not need to feel sl1ghted because of th1S because we have our share of famous 1nd1v1duals Now to get back to the subJect Paul W1seman and R1chard Schanou are a very good team And they are 1n show busmess They have a clever l1ttle rout1ne that follows the Mutt and Jeff type of th1ng They are now engaged at the Copa Cabana Club 1n Las Vegas However they took one n1ght off and came to our reun1on We were all very amused In a way I guess you say that Arlene SnydertMrs Zorro? IS 1n showbusmess also She 1S actually not an actress but she 1S connected w1th a very popular telev1s1on program Th1s program was Just galnlng 1tS popuIar1ty dur1ng our sen1or year 1n h1gh school She IS the Wlfe f the famous Zorro The way Wh1Ch they met 1S very odd It seems that Zorro was mak1ng the Slgn of the Z one day w1th h1s sword The sword flew out of h1s hand and lt went so far that he couldn t see where It landed So he sent Sergeant Garc1a after the sword Sergeant Garc1a d1d not come back for a long t1me so Zorro went after h1m When he got to the place where the sword had landed he d1d not see anybody or anyth1ng but on the ground there was blood He was very upset because he was afra1d he m1ght have k1lled someone But he followed the tracks and found he had only sl1ghtly 1nJured Arlene Zorro VlS1t8d her every day Whlle she was recover1ng They fell 1n love and were later marr1ed Byron Waller 1S another member of our class who 1S IH a type of show bus1ness Byron 1S not an actor or a s1nger He IS used 1n a demonstrat1on to advert1se KISSIG Koo llpstlck Byron s face gets so red from blush1ng each t1me the g1rl k1SS9S h1m that you cannot see the l1pst1ck However th1s 1S not h1s full tune Job He works full t1me as a deep sea d1ver He says that he hopes someday to f1nd a pearl or somethmg very valuable Then he can ret1re and spend all h1S t1me Wlth Pat and the fourteen k1dS By the way I don t th1nk he ll ever f1nd a pearl because he Just d1ves after souven1r gO1df1Sh at D1sneyland Mar1lyn Buso Wynn IS a very eff1c1ent housew1fe She and Jlm l1ve on a farm near G1bbon F1rst I must tell you an amus1ng fact about them They ra1se gophersll Yes that 1S a rather odd th1ng to ra1se but they have a very good reason for do1ng lt They want to get ahead of the n1eghbors so at n1ght they take the1r gophers and let them eat the ne1ghbors crops The gophers are very obed1ent so they always come back Iam sure that you all know that Mar1lyn was Mrs Amer1ca of 1972 Her year was very busy that year but she says that she enJoyed lt very much Don t let the gopher b1t worry you I am sure that Mar11yn was teas1ng us Janet Coon went 1nto the Mar1nes as she had planned to go However her career 1n the Mar1nes d1d not last very long I m sure that most of you g1rls remember how Janet used to talk about the dreamy recru1ter Janet Just had to see h1m at least once or tW1C9 a week So she kept try1ng to conv1nce g1rls to Jo1n the Mar1nes After she got them conv1nced to Jo1n she would go to the recru1ter s off1ce w1th them Th1s 1S the only way she could th1nk of to see the recru1ter After th1s went on for some t1me they fell 1n love and were marr1ed . . . . ,, ,, . . . . . . ,, ,, . . . .
