The success of this year was due to the fine cooperation of our class and our officers and the wise counsel of our sponsors. Xlrs. Breast. Mrs. Hulan. Miss Rogers. Mrs. Core. Mrs. Crockett. Coach Copeland. and Mr. Nunley. and of our principal. Mr. May. In the spring of 1950. the officers were elected. with Mike Bone as President. The other officers were Kenneth Couser. Vice-President. Carolyn Overcast. Secretarv. and Emily Sanders. Treasurer. We have worked hard and entered into many money-making projects. Many of seniors were seen working at the National Walking Horse Celebration on Friday Saturday selling cakes and pies. OUI' and ln our magazine sale the senior class took in 53067. The top three salesmen were Evelyn Hubbard. Thomas Gray. and One of the big events of the year noon preceding the game there was The theme of the float was '6Hold Cowen. captain of the cheerleaders, At each of our football games we Cray Hill. was our annual homecoming game. In the after- a parade. in which we entered the winning float. That Tiger." The homecoming queen was Diana and the senior attendant was Marilyn Hale. sold popcorn from our stand which we had built at the first of the year. We were also in charge of the concession stand during basket- ball season. and that added greatlv to our treasurv. At our annual Harvest Festival. Tom Wiliiams and Mary Ruth Walker were our senior representatives for king and queen. It is a real honor for a senior to be selected to the Student Council or to be a DAR representative. Several of our seniors had elected to the Student Council were Freeda and Larry Locke. The DAR representative Sanders. One of the highlights of our senior year decorated with the colors midnight blue and this honor bestowed upon them. Those Fly. Mary Lou Finney. Kenneth Couser. was Jane Spencer: alternate was Emily was the prom. The gym was beautifully silver. The theme was '4Blue Moon." The superlatives were introduced and the king and queen were crowned. iVlav 16th found us marching down the aisle and receiving our diplomas. After graduation we were Wlashington-bound! This was the event every senior had looked forward to and it also was the event that concluded our high school days.
