D WENDELL SMITH, first team quarter back, helped lead the Cardinals through a successful season by scoring 131 points--21 TD's and 5 extra points. Wendell was named the All-Conference 2nd, team back. He was also named one of the Most Valuable players in the conference by the BUREAU VALLEY CHIEF. LEFT HALF, DRISCOLL DREW, also gave the team a helping, push by scoring 13 TD's and 8 extra .points for a total of 86 pts. Drew was named All-Conference 4th, team back. Driscoll could always be counted on to deliver the mail--with no postage due . TERRIBLE TERRY QTUSSJ NUTTER, Sheffie1d's right half, made up the third member of the BEST ALL- ROUND BACKFIELD in the Conference. Terry Tuss made the last TD in the Championship game with a 15- yard run. During the season Terry racked up 11 TD's and 1 extra point. Terry will e bac with us next year. to give the team power and drive. JACK GENTRY, All-Conference end and the Cardinals right-end terror, was a boy who could really block and run. Jack, a junior, will be wearing the Red and White for another season, and we hope it will be as vic- torious as this year. Jack made 3 TD's and 2 extra points for a total tally of 20 points. KAYE GARRISON, All-Conference 3rd, team Tackle, was one of our best blockers and tacklers. One of the two Seniors in the forward wall, Kaye was a member of the ALL -CONFERENCE BEST ALL-ROUND LINE. HAROLD fDickj LAMBERT was chosen All-Conference center and the other Senior member of the BEST ALL- ROUND LINE, Dick could always be counted on to snap that old pig -skin just right. WAYNE 1Toadj SMITH, a Sophomore, was considered, the best lineman in the loop, and was named All- Conference tackle. Toad was the youngest member of the conference ALL-ROUND LINE. Wayne will be wearing the Sheffield Red and White for two more years and we hope that those years will be as good as this year. CONRAD fKnuteJ HEWITT, a Junior made up the 5th man in the Cardinals' unbreakable wall of defense. Knute received Honorable Mention in the All-Conference team. With three years of experience behind him he will be a big asset to the team in the remaining year of service he has left... Sheffie1d's undefeated season would not have been possible without the encouragement and guidance given ghleufcanp by COACH RADUNZEL and FRED SCHWIND. They certainly deserve a lot of the credit for having e ea e eam.
