The Future Homemakers, headed by Ruth Hefner, were hostesses in the fall for a four-county rally with an attendance of approximately two hundred seventy-five. They sold mums for the Homecoming game, and candied apples at the school carnival. Additional events this year were a Christmas tea, enjoyed by our faculty, and preparing a Christmas basket for a needy family. The year came to a climax with the annual F.H.A.-F.F.A. banquet. Ceremonies for the initiation of 'ggreenhandsi' and Chapter Farmers were important events. Teams were entered in the annual parliamentary procedure contest and the state judging contest. Several of the members received honors in the state or district F.F.A., and the group considered this a most rewarding year.
