These purposes vary from one extreme to the other, but only those who are sincere about getting an education achieve these ends. Seniors, as you embark upon that journey into either the world of work or on to higher levels of education, I would like for you to reflect upon what life has been like for you at Shaw. It is my belief that life out- side the campus can be just as enjoyable. For those underclassmen with years to go, l would like for you to be just as concerned now about your future after graduation. If you get an early start in planning that big step, it will be just that much easier for you In closing, I would like to extend the heartiest congratulations to those who have faced the task of achieving a degree, and hope that you will al- ways have faith in your abilities.
