,Ai 1 . EDUCATION, AN INVESTMENT IN PEUPEE To the Senior Class The education which the citizens of Sharon have provided for you represents their investment in you. From their investments in stocks and bonds, or banks, or business, or real estate they have a right to expect a fair return. Have they not the right to expect a fair return from their investment in your education ? If you so order and conduct your lives that you bring credit and honor to yourselves and to Sharon High School, you will have vindicated the faith which the people of Sharon have placed in you. They will have made a sound investment. 5172 yffffaf.-.mf V- llcus JIL

4 -1 ' . .Bri-Nh'-J ' . ' .. W .' y f .IT ...J we Q. uzs::'E8 v 5 . l O04 gtk i NX PRINCIPAVS MESSAGE In September 1949 your class became Freshmen in the high school. At that time your group numbered forty-seven. It is not at all unusual to have changes in group membership during the four-year period. In the case of your class these changes have reduced the membership to thirty-seven. During these four years you have been faithful to your studies and other school activities as you have attended the classes of your choice each year. You are about to complete your formal high school education and very shortly will become citizens of this or some other community. This will give you an opportunity to put the results of your training into practice. ' Your teachers have taken a personal interest in your educational accomplishrnentsg and, because you are a small class, they have been able to give you more individual attention than future classes will enjoy as the school enrolment increases. As you go your respective ways after graduation, it is my sincere wish that you will be success- ful in whatever line of endeavor you may choose, whether it is to continue your educa- tion or take your place in industry.
