The hot summer days were spent in practice which proved worthwhile. The late summer con' cert in August presented a wide variety of music to an appreciative crowd. At pep meetings the band helped the stu- dents through lustily by beating out the school song and lively marches. DC- The long hours of practice, in and out of school, to prepare numbers and formations were forgot when our members performed at the half time during the football season. This was a iob we did at every game, home or away, rain or shine. Possibly the most thrilling moments were at night games when field lights were turned out and the band made a striking appearance with its own lights and formations. R E l C H A R T ' S For 29 years home furnishing headquarters Wheeling 40 Martins Ferry More p actices paved the way to an interesting Spring Concert in March. Eesides renditions from the band, selec- tions were given by the Boys' and Girls' Glee Clubs, Mixed Chorus and Junior Band. Then in April the band participated in the district concert held in Bellaire. It was at this time that Mr, Trosalcs efforts and patience were appreciated. The band was on hand at the curtain for class plays and for special assemblies. Shadyside The drum rnaior and maiorettes add the rneasure to the success ot the bard at all its pertoimanres.
