Class History Can you imagine this group of students being juniors already? Neither can We, but here we are three rungs up on the ladder of the so-called ladder of education. We climbed from verdant freshmen, to silly sophomores, to jolly juniors. We may have had other names given us, too, but this is not the time and place to discuss that. Instead, we Wish to show that the junior class has been doing things to get this far in life. Our four officers this year are a fair representation of the class Who elected them. President, Harold Campbell, had a big year with committees for class dances, parties, class rings and junior-senior prom. Vice-president, Bob Hughes, could be seen helping him many times, Secretary-treasurer, Betty Ault, was the most popular person ever-she had the job of getting money in for all the above occasions. Historian, Mickey Franks, helped make a great deal of the history of the class besides recording it. Our class was Well represented in the Girl Reserves, Band, I-li-Y, Shadean Staff, Orange et Noir, Charmettes, glee clubs and the scholarship team. Many of our class took part in sports such as, football, basketball, track and base- ball. Others participated in planning the class party and dance, class play and junior- senior prom. Iunior Class Play On March 14 of this year the Iunior Class presented one of Robert Rays up-to-the-minute comedies, entitled, Campus Quarantine. This delightful, rollicking comedy of college life had been played with success on the pro- fessional stage and had for its locale, the sorority house on a Southern Cali- fornia campus. The situations were excrutiatingly funny and the characters true to life. The play was interesting because of the main plot-that of a girls' sorority house quarantined while some boys were still inside. The ac- tions were swift, the dialogue clever and witty and the actions were almost bewildering in the many mix-ups that Went to make Campus Quarantine the merry, mad, crazy but delightful play that it was. The cast was as fol- lows: Nita Hurley, Betty Snioller, Elsa Leasure, Elia Badia, Sally Boston, Erma Heath, lack lones, Earl Feiszli, Phil Perkins, Rupert Franks, Iames I-lall, Gene Brooks. -1 - FIRST ROW-Williarn Green, Nada Kanzig, Irene Kaveski, Sophia Kendjorsky, Garnet King, Robert Klein, Iames Koonce, Dolores Kovachic, Ruth Krock, Pete Kusko, Ed Large, George Lay. SECOND ROW: Alma lean Graham, Elsa Leasure, Iosephine Maskivish, Ronald Maskivish, Iohn McMahon, loann Nemec, Ioyce Nicholson, David Ogilbee, Mildred Piper, Charlotte Podrusek, Rich- ard Pumpa, Marilyn Schaefer. THIRD ROW: Sophia Vucelich, Virginia Shimko, Dolores Slack, Betty Smoller, Alva Stewart, Sara Vucelich, Robert Watt, Iames Weeks, Helen Wizba, Barbara Wolfe, Adeline Yocca, Phil Perkins. l23l
