William Wood Historian Viola Mihalek President Robert Podlasiak SENIOR HISTORY Carry on thou faithful luniorsl May you up hold the name of the senior class as we take our places in life Yes we re through No more events of high scl ool days gust pleasant memo ries Memories of the best days of our lives During the four years that we were at Shady side many of the class Nere in football and band Others ioined different clubs in the high school success of their years in high school When we were F eshmen we tried our best to learn our way around the high school Of course we didnt want to get lost for that would end up in laughs to everyone else and embarrassment to us We fvandered into the wrong rooms occa sionally but considering other Freshman classes we got along quite well At the beginning of the year we elected the following officers Frank Reich president Ruth Peters vice president Nan Cy Ward secretary treasurer Russell Ramser his torian After the newness of being in high school had worn off and we became Sophomores every thing seemed to go along more smoothly The Freshman Green had turned to other colors and then there was another group of greenhorns as ou successors The officers then chosen by the class mere president Charles Hannan vice presi dent Anne Lovrich secretary treasurer Sara Hood historian Walter Burkhart ln reaching the third landing in the Stair of Knowledge we were busier than ever before With the Prom class play and many other act1v1 pied The officers elected at the beginning of our lunior year were Steve Kocheran presldent Walter Burkhart vice president Yvonne Long well secretary treasurer Iohn Steele historian Finally the year which we had been looking forward to for so long a time had come Rings pictures Baccalaureate Commencement that besides the class play and prom were things to worry about The outcome of the Senior election was Bob Podlasiak president Bill Wood vice president Anne Lovrich secretary treasurer Vio la Mihalek historian The gardenia was chosen as the class flower and the class colors were white and purple The motto chosen was never be it never be b but always be lq . wg.
