Class Activities Easing the pangs of Senioritis, so prevalent during the final semester at Shadle, the Class of ' 65 council backed such perennial favorites as the Senior Con (a satire on the Academy Awards), Senior Rule Day, Senior Dress-Up Day, Senior Sports Clothes Day, the traditional Senior Breakfast, Senior Prom, and Com¬ mencement. The Council also supported the novel Senior Sing, which was fol¬ lowed by a dance. GVth’ iMjguto Diane Luscher President Sharon Olsen Vice-president Sadies Selebrations, this year ' s theme for the Sadie Hawkins Dance, witnessed a capacity crowd. 1,100 students gathered in the gym for this annual affair. The Big and Little Sister Party climaxed a week of orientation into high school life for all new girls. Shadle ' s representatives to Girls ' State at Central Washington State College were Diane Luscher and Joan Shotwell. They shared their week’s experiences in leader¬ ship ability at a fall convocation. A Christmas Present for Dad illustrated past, present and future Christmases at the Dad-Daughter Dessert. As the final semester duty, the League once again chose to aid the Marines in the Toys for Tots drive as their Christmas project.
