Establishing a first this year with a “Battle of the Bands , the Class of ’66 began planning early for their spring prom. Three combos competed for the prom billing at an all-school mixer in December sponsored by the juniors. Jack Brenton President Spring semester ASB officers attended a Leadership Confer¬ ence at Ferris High School to gain new ideas on school spirit and committee organization. The officers also spent sixth period each day planning ac¬ tivities to co-ordinate the council and the student body. Class Activities Easing the pangs of Senioritis, so prevalent during the final semester at Shadle, the Class of ' 65 council backed such perennial favorites as the Senior Con (a satire on the Academy Awards), Senior Rule Day, Senior Dress-Up Day, Senior Sports Clothes Day, the traditional Senior Breakfast, Senior Prom, and Com¬ mencement. The Council also supported the novel Senior Sing, which was fol¬ lowed by a dance. Fall semester officers: Fritz McGinnis, president; Jack Harding, 1st vice-president; Craig Gable, 2nd vice-president; Theresa Johnson, secretary; Sharon Williams, treasurer; Dudley Mizogouchi, 5th execu¬ tive.
