vds ma • i g. the bedlam A peaceful scene surrounds ma as I gaze across the deserted stadium — a somewhat different setting to contrast the bemam of football games on Friday nights As 1 recall the noise of the crowd, the bands playing, and tho tension in the air. I realize that it has all come to a holt. Yet the memories will never die — priceless memories, such as the night we playod Mountain Brook. I can still visualize the crowd reaction as we scored in the closing seconds It was truly a night to remember As I look back at the season. I also feel a strong sense of accomplishment. Not |ust anyone could do what we have done. One practice in particular stands out in my mind The coaches had pushed us to our limit, arid 1 remember that prior to each play as I rested on my knee . It was necessary to put my hands on the ground to keep from falling on my face These memories are not tho most pleasant; nevertheless, they ore included. Of course, tho long practices that produced blood and sweat will not be missed, yet will I compete with the group of guys who mean so much to me — a group through so much together Memories are all that remain now They are life as In other' lives, and certainly they will be cherished as we ling through time by David Sturdivant
