Counselors PEGGY HILL serves as Student Council sponsor and as Sophomore Counselor. She has a Master's Degree in History and certification in guidance and counseling from Samford University. CAROLYN RUSHIN serves as a sponsor of the TOWER staff and as counselor of the Junior class. She received a Master's Degree and is certified in guidance and counseling. Mrs. Rushin graduated from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. JOYCE WOOD is counselor to the Senior class. She is certified in counseling and guidance, and has a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Alabama. Mrs. Wood is advisor to the Usherettes along with her many duties as head counselor. 23

Edwin Belue Edwin Bcluc. building principal in charge of Resource Learning Center, attended the University of Montevallo, Vanderbilt University and the University of Alabama where he received his PhD. He is an enthusiastic camper and enjoys canoeing and back packing. James Meadows James Meadows, the Resource Learning Center work study supervisor, also teaches Philosophy and Current Issues. He is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi and the University of Alabama in Birmingham. He is genuinely interested In today's students and endeavors to understand their problems.

LOUISA GRISWOLD is the school's registrar. She keeps the school running smoothly by assisting us with activity scheduling and aiding us with the numerous reports that arc a necessary part of the school program. We receive our daily boost through her cheerfulness on the Intercom. BETH ROGERS holds the important job of business manager. She manages the money for football games and many other activities. She enjoys teenagers and working with figures. Library ANN HOBBS serves as librarian here at Shades Valley. She attended Samford University and the University of Alabama. Ms. Hobbs has a Master's Degree in History and Library Science. Besides being librarian, she teaches Honors American History. SUSAN BELL is a welcomed addition to Shades Valley's library staff this year. She claims a vivid interest in Alabama sports and the am. Her outside activities include redecorating an old house. 24 WANDA WILMET devotes relentless time and effort to her job as library aide. When asked about her interests. Mrs. Wilmet said she loves animals, pro-football and above all working at Shades Valley.
