With the combined study of history and current events comes the realization that only through understanding of the past can there be hope for the future. FOREIGN LANGUAGES PU1 Intensive drilling is a necessary part in the study of any language. Twentieth century man has literally brought the world to his doorstep, only to discover lie has a communication problem. Recognizing the necessity for Americans to speak another language. The Shades Valley Language Department, under the supervision of Mrs. Maxine Snider, offers French. Spanish. German, and Latin, plus advanced placement courses in French and Latin. The fact that Valley students have done exceptionally well in placement tests and entrance exams is testimony to the superior quality of our language department.
