Shades Valley has been led to its current scholastic position by its administration. Without able leadership. many of the honors and citations received by the school would have gone to others. Always looking to the future, the people who guide the Mounties in their everyday studies have for fifteen years kept up with the latest educational processes. It is the labor of these executives which has made for Shades Valley the reputation it enjoys as one of the most modern and efficient high schools in the area. The role of our office is not easy, but it is a very vital one for the constant progress of the school. Administration Guides Mounties FRANK A PEAKE, Principal Olivet College. A B.; Howard Coltgc, M.A., I.LD. Through the past fifteen years, the cverincreasing heights attained by Shades Valley attest to the administrative abilities of the people who have chartered its course. Heading this able staff is Dr. Frank Peake, who has held the position of principal since the school began in 1949. The year 1963 has brought some changes, however. Hugh Stegall, in his first year at Shades Valley, holds the position of vice-principal. New to the school is the position of business manager, which has been capably filled by Henry Alexander, formerly head of the Industrial Arts Department. Backed by an efficient staff of office personnel, the administration, in a short span of years, has placed Shades Valley in a prominent position, both locally and on a state-wide level. 10
