Nor will the story end here but continue with the life and spirit of our school. It is a story in pictures and words of life at Shades Valley. The plot will be as we make and mold it; the characters are the students and the faculty, working in cooperation; and the theme is to be found in the hearts of each of the characters. We dedicate the 1959 TOWER to the spirit that has grown in our school—to the spirit of friendliness among the students—to the spirit of harmony in our activities—to the spirit of a true desire to learn— and to the spirit of sportsmanship that is developed on the athletic fields. This is the spirit we have learned to love and live; it has grown and developed with our school. We are dedicating our TOWER to the memory of this spirit in the past and presonf, and to its continuation in the future.
