ELIOT DOUGLASS WILDER Class of 1952 in II h II II It I I tl The memory of Eliot Douglass Wilder will live forever in the hearts of those who knew him. He was respected and admired by all for his straight forward courage, high morals, and unceasing loyalty. These things also made him a leader in everything that he undertook. Eliot's activities and honors at Shades Valley exemplified the promise of his youth. He was the Battle Tour winner, recipient of the Harvard Book Award, first vice-president of the Student Government Association, and a member of the National Honor Society. He was president of the Debators, vice-president of the Thespians, business manager of the Valley Echo, Governor of the YMCA Youth Government, and a founder of the Camorgo Club. He was also active in athletics, having been a member of the basketball and track teams. Eliot went from Shades Valley to Harvard University on a four year scholarship. The world was not given a chance to know the great potentialities of Eliot Wilder, we in the Valley feel that his death was a loss to all mankind. Pago 14
